The Amherst Police Department in conjunction with the Amherst Police Club, Inc. have allowed officers to throw away their razors and grow their beards. Officers will have to “pay” to grow a beard for the month. All proceeds from this initiative will be donated to support pediatric cancer patients through the Courage of Carly Fund at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
